Day 1: Arrival

Arrive in Thimphu, Bhutan's capital. Check into hotel. Afternoon: Orientation meeting with your guide about monastic life in Bhutan. Visit National Memorial Chorten to observe monks and lay practitioners at prayer. Learn basic Buddhist etiquette for monastery visits: dress modestly, remove shoes, don't point feet at Buddha images, ask permission before photographing. Evening: Early dinner and rest. Day 2: Introduction to Monastic Life
