Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

Welcome to your Himalayan Yoga & Wellness Retreat! Check into a peaceful retreat center or boutique lodge with mountain views. Afternoon: Settle in, enjoy welcome herbal tea, and meet your yoga instructor. Gentle evening yoga session to release travel tension. All meals are organic vegetarian, sourced locally. Your diet supports your practice. Overnight: Retreat center in Paro or Thimphu

Day 2: Asana & Pranayama

Wake before sunrise for meditation as the first light touches the mountains. The stillness is profound. 7:00 AM: Hatha Yoga session (90 minutes) on an outdoor platform overlooking the valley. Practice sun salutations as the sun rises over the Himalayas - a magical experience. Breakfast of organic porridge, fruits, and Bhutanese honey. 10:00 AM: Pranayama (breathing techniques) workshop. Learn alternate nostril breathing, kapalabhati, and ujjayi breath. The clean mountain air enhances practice. Afternoon: Free time for reading, nature walks, or spa treatments. Day 3: Forest Bathing & Yoga

Day 4: Buddhist Meditation

Discover parallels between yoga and Buddhism - both seek liberation from suffering through mindfulness and compassion. Day 5: Monastery Meditation

Experience monastic food culture. Afternoon: Extended meditation session guided by a Buddhist lama. Learn mantra recitation and visualization techniques.
